It really was a super nice small European town. Everyone there was quite nice and everyone I ran into spoke English, so that was a plus. The only drawback is that it is an island in the North Atlantic so almost everything there has to be shipped there. That makes for some prohibitive prices. Most of the beer I drank while I was there was 500 Króna which is roughly 7 dollars. That is just for a can of beer. A friend that we went with bought a beer that was a .5L can for 1200 Króna, which is roughly 17 dollars. Ouch.

This at one time was the only building in town

This is a band called Dr. Spock. They were awesome, you should go to their website even though it's a MySpace page.

These are practically the only two kinds of beer I saw people drinking. I stuck with Viking, the local brew.

I don't know why these were up, but I had to take a picture.

I like your pictures. Your Dr. Spock pictures turned out better than mine, which is good. I don't know how you capture that band with a mere photograph. I'm so happy I went I might break into psychotic vomiting.
^Agreed, I like the snappy pics too. Never knew Iceland could be so bright.
